I am an approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Virginia. Additionally, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with training and experience in helping individuals recover from trauma.

I offer several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. The selection of therapy type depends on your specific needs and goals."

I start with a comprehensive assessment during our initial sessions to understand your concerns, background, and objectives. Based on this information, I suggest a therapeutic approach that aligns with your individual needs and preferences.

Our first session is primarily focused on getting to know each other. You'll have the opportunity to discuss what brought you to therapy, your history, and what you hope to achieve. I'll explain how our sessions will be structured and answer any questions you might have.

Each therapy session typically lasts for about 50 minutes. However, the duration can be adjusted to better fit your schedule and treatment needs if necessary.

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Information discussed in sessions is kept private, with the exception of specific circumstances involving legal requirements or safety concerns, which I will explain in detail."

The number of sessions varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some issues may require only a few sessions, while others might need longer-term intervention. We will regularly evaluate your progress and adjust as needed.

My standard fee per session is $125.00. I accept payment via various insurances. Fees are due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. I also offer a sliding scale fee structure based on financial need.

I offer online teletherapy sessions at this time. Online sessions are conducted via a secure video conferencing platform, ensuring privacy and convenience."

For urgent issues outside of our scheduled sessions, I provide an emergency contact number. I also have a protocol for managing crises, which includes coordination with local mental health services if necessary.

As a licensed counselor, I do not prescribe medication. If we determine that medication might be beneficial, I can refer you to a trusted psychiatrist who can evaluate and manage your medication needs.

I require 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment are subject to a cancellation fee.

Progress is measured through regular assessments and ongoing dialogue about your feelings and achievements. We will set clear, measurable goals at the beginning and review them periodically to ensure that you are making the desired progress."

It's important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If, after a few sessions, you feel that we aren't a good fit, I would be happy to discuss this with you and, if necessary, provide referrals to other therapists who might meet your needs better.
